Resolved Question: What is your favourite theme park in the North of England?

The children want to go to Blackpool Pleasure beach again but I think that Blackpool has had it's day (no offence). It has turned into a mini Las Vegas. I prefer the Lake District, I know it's not a theme park but it's beautiful compared to Blackpool. Any other ideas on day trips? The children also want to do paintballing and laser quest!
