Resolved Question: How come England is all about London?

Why is that? I mean when foreigners think of England they think London and most I ask don`t even know or heard much about the other major cities.Some only know Liverpool and Manchester and that's mainly because of the football teams and would only want to visit cos of the football.We have other great cities such as Newcastle and Blackpool. Also, everything is in London.If you look at america there have given other states chance to host olympics e.g Atlanta\ but that would hardly happen in England. When i (and most people?) think about spain I think of (maybe catalonia) Barcelona and Madrid Italy - ROME, MILAN , VENICE u.s.a - California, chicago, Florida, new york But england london , london , london.
